ItSMF Ireland and the Irish Computer Society are deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Colm O'Shea on September 24th 2020. Our condolences are with his family.
Until recently, Colm was Chair to itSMF Ireland and his contribution to the society and the IT Service Management community will be sorely missed.
"Colm’s contribution to the itSMF and service management has been immense. He served on the management committee for eight years and as Chair for the past four, with great integrity and entusiasm.
It has been a privilege for the committee to serve alongside him and benefit from his vast knowledge. He leaves a void within the service management community that will be hard to fill. We will remember him fondly and miss his wise counsel and good humour in the years to come." said Vice-Chair, Susan Toland on behalf of the board and its members.
Colm was European Support Services Manager at Irish Life/Canada Life, having graduated with a BSc (Hons) from Trinity College, Dublin, in Business and IT, and IT and Financial Services
Colm was also heavily involved in rugby at all levels. He was a true Leinster supporter and will be missed in the RDS.
Colm is a great loss to not only ICS but Irish society as a whole, we were lucky to have him.
