Barclays presentation at itSMF 2018 will look at 'The changing world of Service Management – Coping and Success Strategies'. In this presentation he looks at the current state if the ITSM industry and provides insights and guidance on how to make sense of the plethora of ‘best practice’ – and actually achieve success.
The world of ITSM is at a crossroads, with the validity of existing models like ITIL being challenged by new frameworks and models. There are new versions and variations of service and operations management appearing regularly – e.g. VeriISM, BRM, SIAM, IT4IT. Also, for an industry that relied on standards, control and process governance, we are now also confronted with the need to move faster and to be more agile – with DevOps, Lean, Agile methods being used often in place of what we have known and understood with ITSM.
Barclay has created ‘ITSMGoodness’ – a set of practical steps and guidelines – simple practical and proven tips and tools – for successful ITSM. Visit www.itsmgoodness.com for details and free to air access – join the Twitter conversation at #ITSMGoodness and follow Barclay at @barclayrae.
