Jim Gregg of the Association of Data Protection Officers (ADPO) will present the first part of this event, which will be an overview of Data Protection training and certification and its importance in the role of a DPO.
DCU’s Rob Brennan will also discuss DCU’s Master's in Data Protection and Privacy Law, recently launched with the support of the Irish Computer Society. Rob will discuss how this unique degree brings together Law and Computing graduates to understand the legal challenges and technical solutions for safely handling data in the modern era.
