On the 20th June HISI will be holding its Annual General Meeting. It has been a number of years since our last AGM and a lot has happened! Before the pandemic, the Executive were very active in organising a number of events and reviewing aspects around the organisation and its membership.
While we
have had a number of very successful Webinars over the last number of months,
the AGM is essential to reconstitute HISI and get us back to the heights we
were at pre Covid.
As they say, all journeys begin with a single step, so
please come along to the AGM and if you have an interest, please put your
name forward for the Executive.
We have completed a review of the Terms of Reference for HISI that is simplified and aligned with the new structures within the Irish Computer Society. In addition, the Executive have been in in-situ for a good number of years and there is a need to re-establish the Exec members at all levels. So, we are putting a call out to members who have an interest in joining the Executive and helping to shape and drive HISI in the coming years.
We are seeking members across the broad spectrum that HISI represents including new members of the Informatics community, commercial representatives, differing professions, etc.
